Last month, Talem Home Care celebrated the dedication of our Director of Home Care, Jamie Byrd. July marked Jamie’s three-year anniversary with the company! Jamie has been a part of the business since the humble beginnings. She is extremely successful in her complex role of running one of the agency’s busiest locations. Her talents, personal experiences, and unique abilities contribute to the success of the Talem brand.
Through Jamie’s strong work ethic, continued commitment, and undeniable dedication she always makes things happen for those around her. She always supports her fellow team members, external business partners, Talem clients, and our amazing caregivers. Jamie goes above and beyond to truly make a difference in the lives of those she selflessly serves. Her unique southern charm, open-door policy, and heart-felt smile provide a warm and welcoming work environment.
Born and raised in Brownsville, TN, Jamie Byrd relocated to Denver with her husband in 1999. She has a background in home healthcare as well as human resources. Currently, she is working toward her bachelor’s in healthcare management/HR at Colorado State University.
Some say that life’s hardest challenges can be turned into life’s greatest works. When both of Jamie’s maternal grandparents lost their battle with Alzheimer’s, Jamie knew she wanted to help others and have a career in healthcare. She is now a passionate advocate for fighting Alzheimer’s Disease and holds an annual benefit to raise awareness and funds for the Colorado Alzheimer’s Association.
When Jamie is not busy running the office, she loves to spend quality time with her amazing husband, Doug, beautiful daughters, Sunnie and Marley and two adorable dogs, Stella and Liz. She is also passionate about gardening, refurbishing furniture, and reading. Often, she can be found cozying up next to the fire with a good book, especially on chilly Colorado snow days.
It is an honor to celebrate Jamie’s milestone with the company and the enormous added value she delightfully and effortlessly brings to the entire Talem Home Care & Placement Services teams.
