Things to do in February in Denver
It may be the shortest month of the year, but there is no shortage of things to do in Denver in February. Here’s a list of ways to keep busy for the next four weeks:
The Denver Zoo’s month-long exhibit, Flock to the Zoo!, is a celebration of birds. Throughout the month, there will be zookeeper talks, bird demonstrations, and lots of feathered fun. Seniors who are 65 and older can get discounted tickets.
On February 9, the Colorado Wind Ensemble hosts A Tribute to John Philip Sousa with Master of Ceremonies Governor Bill Ritter, Jr. Overtures, marches, soloists, and sing-alongs will make you feel like you’re enjoying the real John Philip Sousa Band during the Golden Age of the Concert Band. Parking if free in the 7th Street Garage next to the King Center.
Estate and funeral planning isn’t a topic that people enjoy talking about regularly, but it only helps you and your loved ones get through a difficult time. Rocky Mountain Wills & Trusts along with Feldman Mortuary has a new presentation series, Meaningful Conversations. The first presentation, Talking About It Doesn’t Kill You, is on February 13, 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn about taking control of your final wishes and ensuring your family is prepared.
Denver Restaurant Week is a delicious way to end the month! Beginning on February 22, for 10 days, hundreds of the area’s top restaurants are offering multi-course dinners for $25, $35, or $45. You can check out the menus here: https://www.denver.org/denver-restaurant-week/menus/
There is never lack of things to do in Denver. February has so much to offer in a short amount of time, so get out there and have fun, learn, and experience new adventures.
